  • Volume-Control Issue Fixed (Apple Music / Bluetooth / PartyBox) - A new option has been implemented to address volume-control issues associated with Apple Music and certain Bluetooth speakers (specifically the JBL PartyBox 310). With this combination, an issue has been experienced in which volume will jump down between players. A new Bluetooth Assurance Plus option has been added to the Actions > System Settings window to address this issue. The Bluetooth Assurance settings now has a "ON BA+" option. For anyone experiencing this volume issue, we recommend turning BA+ ON (with AMA and EVR off). If you turn BA+ ON and continue having issues, please contact support@ballparkdj.com. For additional information please visit: https://www.ballparkdj.com/partybox310

  • Enhanced Volume Control Plus (EVR+) - In past releases, the EVR implementation involved playing a "silent" Apple Music song while restoring the volume. EVR has been updated to use an alternate method to restore the volume that does NOT involve an Apple Music song. However, we retained the previous EVR behavior in a new EVR+ option, just in case the new EVR implementation causes an issue for anyone. If you are having any issues related to volume-control of your Bluetooth speaker, we now highly recommend you first try turning BA+ ON (with AMA and EVR off). ONLY if BA+ ON does not resolve your volume-control issue, should you then try turning on EVR+ (with BA+ still ON).

  • Team Sport and Location - When creating a new team, users are given the option to supply their teams' Sport or Location (State or Country). This will provide additional information to our announcers when voicing your team, and allow us to identify how many teams are coming from each sport/state/country. For any team you have already created, you can specify the Sport and Location by visiting Actions > Team Settings.

  • iPad User Interface Improvements - Improvements were made on just about every screen in order to maximize the additional space that the iPad screen provides. Larger buttons, larger text, improved positioning, and more. iPad users will really enjoy the new look.

  • JBL PartyBox 310 Volume Issues - We have been actively testing the JBL PartyBox 310 and the associated volume-related issues that some have reported. The issue has to do with the volume jumping down when starting playback (as if the speaker and BallparkDJ are fighting over the volume). This issue only happens if using BOTH Bluetooth AND Apple Music and is triggered by the fact that we have to adjust the volume of the phone/table in order to emulate fade-out when using Bluetooth/Apple Music. While we don't yet have a complete solution, we have learned a great deal and we have several ways to reliably work around this issue. If you are having this volume-related issue with the 310 or any other Bluetooth speaker, please read more about our findings at https://www.ballparkdj.com/partybox310

  • SuperVoice Overlap Improvements - Improvements and fixes were made to the overlap between the events and number/name on gold SuperVoice teams, as well as to the overlap between voice and music on such teams. In both situations, the overlap should now remain constant and consistent, regardless of which SuperVoice Events is selected during the playback process.

  • Music Playback Issue Fixed - An issue was fixed in which music would sometimes not play if the user tapped the PLAY button too quickly after tapping the player (or after tapping the event on gold team). Music now plays reliably regardless of how quickly the PLAY button is tapped.

  • BallparkDJ Español - BallparkDJ is now available in Spanish! BallparkDJ has always received tremendous support and interest from the Latino community, and we are rewarding that loyalty with the release of a Spanish language version of BallparkDJ, complete with Spanish Instructional Videos and Professional Introductions. The Language option is available in the Actions > System Settings window, allowing you to toggle between English and Spanish. You may also toggle between English and Spanish by swiping left on the BallparkDJ logo at the top of the screen. Not all of our announcers have experience with the Spanish language, and therefore when ordering professional voicing from those announcers, the format options available to you may be limited to what they can accommodate. Several announcers who are familiar with the Spanish language, including Joe Martinez, Marysol Castro, and Michael Araujo, provide the full array of formats and options. • Dynamic Overlap - Dynamic Overlap gives users the ability to start music first, and then start the voice intros at just the right moment, resulting in a flexible runway of music both before and after the players voice introduction. Start the music playback as soon as the previous play ends with the PLAY MUSIC button, then wait until the perfect moment when the batter is approaching the plate, and tap the PLAY VOICE button. Let the music continue until the pitcher is about to pitch, then tap STOP. With this setup, we also recommend turning on Soften Music During Voice, and setting the music for a longer duration like 60 seconds. This allows you to start the players walk-up music, and continue playing it through delays such as mound/coach visits, and yet start the voiced intro at the right moment while the music softens. When Dynamic Overlap is turned on for a player, a lightning icon will appear between the voice and music icons to the right of the player. The Dynamic Overlap toggle is located in the Edit Player screen just below the voice/music overlap sliders. When Dynamic Overlap is turned on for the Team Intro of a Pre-Game/Red Team, users can start the music with PLAY MUSIC, then begin the Team Intro when they are ready by tapping PLAY INTRO. After the Team Intro completes, a PLAY NEXT button will appear, giving the user complete control over when to start the introduction of each player, perfectly timing the voice intro for the moment the player takes the field or the court.

  • Music Icon for External Source - A cloud icon will now be visible at the upper right corner of the Musical Note icon to the right of each player, when that player is setup with External Source music. (Pink Apple = Apple Music, White/Black Apple = iTunes Purchased, White/Black DJ = BallparkDJ Clip).

  • Music Source Icons - A small icon was added at the upper right corner of the Music Note icon that reflects the music source for each player. This allows users or BallparkDJ support staff to quickly identify the source of each players song without visiting the Edit Music screen. A pink Apple reflects that the song is downloaded through an Apple Music subscription. A white/black Apple reflects a purchased iTunes song. A white/black DJ logo reflects the song is a BallparkDJ Clip. And if no icon exists at the top right of the note, then the song is from an External Source.

  • Voice and Music Toggles - Two new convenient toggle buttons have been added to the Edit Player screen to toggle Voice or Music off. These toggles are located just to the right of the Edit buttons and are only present if music and/or voice has been setup for that player. These buttons allow user to turn off the music or voice for some period, while retaining the details of the music or voice when they are reactivated.

  • Turn Music Audio OFF - A new toggle titled “Turn Music Audio OFF” is now available in the Actions > Team Settings screen. This will turn off music for all players, while retaining the details of the music on all players (such as start, length, overlap with voice and relative volume). To restore the music for all players, simply toggle this option back OFF. This option might be convenient when playing in tournaments which do not allow music.

  • Team-Specific Voice Effects - Each team may now have their own unique Voice Effects. The team Voice Effects option is available at the bottom of the Actions > Team Settings screen. If Team Voice Effects is turned on, those effects will be used by all players on the team. If Team Voice Effects is turned off, then the global Voice Effects in the Actions > System Settings screen will be used for that team, if they are turned ON. Voice Effects are also now shared when sharing teams, so any Voice Effects that are active (whether Team or System) will now be shared to the recipient.

  • Team Backup: Remind Me Next Time - When prompted to backup your team, a new option is available to “Remind Me Next Time” which will result it BallparkDJ prompting you to backup your team the next time you open your team. This is in addition to the Remind Me Next Week option which will wait another week before prompting for backup.

  • Edit Music Length Feedback - In the Edit Music screen, feedback is now displayed in red text during playback to reflect the time into playback, and to help users determine their desired length of play for music. This is in addition to the feedback that has always been displayed in blue text that reflects the time offset into the full song. The time is displayed in format 12.3 with 12 reflecting seconds and 3 reflecting tenths of a second. If the song is setup to begin at 34.0 and play for 20.0 seconds, the top blue counter will start at 34.0 and play up to 54.0 during playback while the bottom (smaller red) counter will start at 0.0 and play up to 20.0.

  • Team Colors – Customize and highlight your team with its own background color. A Team Color option has been added to the Actions > Team Settings screen. This color will be used to paint the background behind the team name, both in the list of teams, and in the team name header when the team is open. 11 different colors are available allowing you to highlight your team in your teams color and helps to quickly identify the team in the list of teams. A "No Color" option is available to revert to the white or black background that is standard for light and dark mode respectively. The color of the blue/red/gold SuperVoice teams must be preserved and retained for administrative reasons, but users may turn on Team Color for the blue team, and that color will be used to paint a square to the right of the team names for all 3 (blue/red/gold) SuperVoice teams. Learn More: https://www.ballparkdj.com/team-colors

  • Export Voice for Single Player - You can now quickly and easily share your kids professional voice intro with grandparents, friends, or on social media. Users may now export the voice intro of a single player with the Actions > Advanced > Export Voice Intros. When selecting this menu choice, you will be presented with options of "Export Full Team" or "Export Single Player". Export Full Team will export the full team into audio files that are zipped up into a single file. Export Single Player will present you with a list of all players on the team from which you will select the player you wish to share. Once you select your desired player, you can then select the sharing destination with choices of text, email, Skype, social media, and much more. The audio files will be shared in .m4a format. If Voice Effects are turned on, you will also be presented with an option of applying the Voice Effects to the exported audio file.

  • Pause & Continue in Record Voice Screen (iOS Only) - A new "Pause & Continue" option has been added to the Record Voice screen which facilitates the recording of long reads of multiple sentences or phrases, such as sportsmanship statements. The Pause & Continue toggle can be found at the lower right corner of the Record Voice screen. When turned on, users may then record longer reads one sentence/phrase at a time, while pausing between sentences/phrases. While paused, users have the 4 options/buttons of Play Last, Delete Last, Continue, or Done. Play Last will play back the last capture. Delete Last will throw away the last capture and allow you to record it again (if you made a mistake). Continue allows you to move on and record the next sentence/phrase. And Done will put all your recordings together into a single audio file and allow you to play it back. The new AutoTrim feature documented below is highly recommend during Pause & Continue so that each sentence/phrase flows together properly.

  • AutoTrim in Record Voice Screen - Automatically trim your voice recordings to remove any dead air before or after the voice. A new toggle is available at the bottom right corner of the Edit Voice screen titled "AutoTrim". When AutoTrim is turned on, each voice capture will be carefully examined to identify where the voice begins and where it ends, and then trimmed so that exactly a half second of dead air will be left both before and after the voicing. This option is highly recommended when using the new Pause & Continue feature. This trimming is also critical when overlapping or combining multiple recordings through functionality such as SuperVoice.

  • Edit Voice Screen Button Improvements - The Play/Record/Stop buttons were enhanced and rearranged within the Edit Voice screen. All buttons were increased in size, and the Record/Stop buttons where moved to the right side of the screen while the Play button was moved to the left side. Also, the Record and Stop buttons now occupy the same space so users do not have to tap on different locations when hitting Record and then Stop.

  • Next Button in Edit Player Screen - A Next button was added to the bottom of the Edit Player screen to conveniently enable quick cycling from player to player within this screen without having to return to the full list of players.

  • Duplicate Player - In the Edit Player screen, when users tap on the + button at the top right of the screen, they are now presented with the two options of New Player or Duplicate Player. The New Player button will create a new player and leave the first name, last name, and number blank for the user to fill in. The Duplicate Player will create a new player within the same team that duplicates the existing player in every aspect (voice, music, number, last name, overlap, etc) with the only difference being the addition of a “-1” to the first name. If the first name is Duncan, then the first name of the Duplicate Player will be Duncan-1. This “-1” is appended because BallparkDJ does not allow two players to have a matching combination of number, first name, AND last name. One of those three must be unique.

  • Search Teams - Users with many teams now have the ability to find teams quickly with a new search feature. Simply doule-tap on the TEAMS strip at the top of the list of team, and a Search Teams box will appear allowing the user to type in any part of the team name, and a truncated list of teams that match the typed sequence will appear. Once your team is identified, you may swipe left and choose "Move to Top" to move that team to the top of your list of teams. Click the X button to the right of the search box to dismiss the search.

  • Apple Music Selection Message - FIXED an issue with Apple Music shared playlists where songs wouldn't be detected as being valid music files, resulting in a message of "The item you have selected does not represent and audio file" when selecting songs from the shared playlist.

  • Stop Music When Switching Screens - FIXED an issue in which music would continue to play unexpectedly, under a specific sequence and timing of events, when switching to and from the Edit Player and Edit Music screens.

  • Default Music Length of 20 Seconds - The default duration/length of music when selecting a new song for a player is not 20 seconds. In the past, the default length of 9 or 10 seconds. Selecting the longer duration is generally preferred as it allows the user to play the music longer when appropriate, but always presents the big STOP button to stop the music when needed (and fading out).

  • Soften Music Persists When Sharing - The "Soften Music During Voice" option is now persistent when sharing a team. In previous versions, the Soften Music would not be shared and would always be turned off for all players on the recipients end. Both the sharer and the recipient must be on version 17.5 or later in order for the Soften Music option to be properly reflected when sharing.

  • QuickPlay - SuperVoice just got even better with the introduction of QuickPlay. QuickPlay is available on gold/SuperVoice teams and is designed to expedite the playback sequence of SuperVoice by repeating the playback choices of the prior player. If QuickPlay is turned on and setup with Event "Now Batting" event, then "Now Batting" will be used automatically for next player without presenting the list of events. QuickPlay also reflects the other previous SuperVoice choices such as "Include Team Name" and "No Music". To edit the Event and other choices of QuickPlay, simply tap on the Event displayed at the bottom of the list of players (just above the Actions menu). To override QuickPlay for a single player (while leaving QuickPlay choices in place), simply long-tap on a player and the SuperVoice Events and other choices will be presented just as in SinglePlay. QuickPlay is turned on by clicking on the Single Play / Cont Play button at the bottom right of the team. When QuickPlay is turned on, you will see QuickPlay in the bottom right of screen highlighted in green.

  • Team Backup - You may now be prompted to backup your teams to the server to ensure the latest version of your teams will be recoverable when moving to another device. The backup message will read “Your team has changes that have not been backed up to our server. Would you like to back up your team now?” This backup prompt will only appear for teams that are owned by you, which means they were created by you and are associated with the email you used with BallparkDJ. The prompts will occur if it has been more than a week since you last backed up your team, AND only if BallparkDJ detects you have made any changes to your team. Changes to your team would include adding players, editing player details such as song or overlap, or even changing song details such as start time or duration.

  • Share to Support - We have added a convenient way for users to easily share their team with BallparkDJ Support while including all the relevant information Support might need to diagnose issues, including App Version, iOS Version, Song Diagnostics, and more. When choosing Actions > Share Team, a new "Send to Support" option is now available (in red). This option will compose an email addressed to support@ballparkdj.com. • Fade In Music - A new "Fade In Music" option has been added to the Edit Music screen. This option mirrors the Fade Out Music option, easing into the volume as the music starts. This feature is especially useful when beginning the song anywhere other than the very beginning of the song. The music will fade in over a 2 second period. This feature requires the music to be setup to start at least 1 second before the voicing.

  • Player Photo During Playback - A new option to "Show Player Photo" is available in Actions > Team Settings. When this is turned on, the player photo, if available, will be shown during playback of the players intro. Team Photos can be attached to players in the upper left corner of the Edit Player screen (accessibly by clicking on the mic/note icons to the right of each player).

  • Random Shuffle Playback - A new "Random Shuffle" option is now available in Actions > Advanced > Sort Team. When Random Shuffle is turned on, the players will be played in random order during Continuous Play. This feature will be especially useful for teams setup to play entire songs for pre-game and between inning music. Such teams can now be setup easily with the Import From Playlist/Album feature in the Actions > Advanced Menu.

  • Show App Version in Title Bar - The app version is now displayed to the right of the BallparkDJ logo in the title/navigation bar at top of each screen. The version will show up in black and white when the app is up to date with the latest version, and it will show in red when there is a more recent version of BallparkDJ on the App Store.

  • Play/Stop Button Improvements - The Play/Stop buttons in the Edit Player screen were improved and redesigned. The play button with both the mic and note icons will play the voice and music together, the play button with the mic plays just the voice, and the play button with the note plays just the music. These buttons change to STOP buttons during playback.

  • Cont Play Full Song Issue - Fixed an issue that was preventing songs from playing during playback of teams setup on Continuous Play, with songs from Apple Music set to Play Full Song.

  • Dark/Light Color Theme Mode - BallparkDJ now has a Dark Mode color theme option in Actions > System settings. Color Theme options include Auto, Light, and Dark. When Auto is selected, the color theme will reflect the color them of the phone/iOS in Settings > Display & Brightness. If the Light or Dark mode is selected, that mode will be used regardless of the settings of the phone. Dark Mode not only looks cool, but is easy on the eyes and saves battery life. Learn Mode: https://www.ballparkdj.com/dark-mode

    - Long Read - The Order Page now provides a Long Read option for Order Type, in addition to Standard, SuperVoice, and Pregame. The Long Read order type should be used for longer / customized reads that do not fit the standard single player introduction format, such as customized sportsmanship reads. Long Read orders are priced at $0.05 per character, with a minimum price of $8.00. Learn More: https://www.ballparkdj.com/long-read

    - 2-Tap Pre-Loading - We have improved the 2-Tap process to help reduce and minimize the playback delay when tapping the play button. After tapping the player, BallparkDJ immediately begins doing any work it possibly can (such as pre-loading the music and applying Voice Effects) so that once the PLAY button is tapped with the 2nd tap, everything is ready to go and the delay from that point is minimized. The PLAY button will show a "Loading" message at the bottom right while the pre-loading process is active. 2-Tap mode now has the advantages of preventing accidental taps, confirmation of proper selection, eliminating clipping of intros (by waking up speaker), and now minimizing the delay during playback. After turning on, simply play the player that is experiencing the delay. Once the playback is stopped, the diagnostics will popup. This option will typically only be used when requested by BallparkDJ Support, and only turned on temporarily to get the diagnostic information to support.

  • Play/Stop Button Improvements - In the Edit Music screen, a large Play/Stop button was added, making it much easier to access than the Play/Stop button that previously resided at the extreme bottom left of the screen.

  • Bluetooth Assurance Improvement - Fixed an issue that some users hare reported where voice would sometimes not play even with Bluetooth Assurance is on. Learn more at https://www.ballparkdj.com/music-issues

  • 2-Tap++ - In BallparkDJ 13.2, a 2-Tap+ mode was implement to help fix some issues where the beginning of the voice introduction would sometimes get clipped off when playing over certain Bluetooth speakers (including ION Pathfinder). So “Now Batting, Number 17, Jordan Payne” would get clipped and you might only hear “17, Jordan Payne”. In version 16.7, we have now added a 2-Tap++ mode was added which takes a more aggressive approach to wake up some speakers which would not respond to 2-Tap+ mode. • Pre-Game Sorting Improved - Any team can be sorted by name or numbers by choosing Actions > Advanced > Sort Team. When sorting a red/pre-game team, the Team Intro player is now ignored and left at the top of the team where it always belongs.

  • Apple Music Playback Fix - Fixed an issue where Apple Music would sometimes not play properly in the Edit Player / Edit Music screens. Also fixed an issue where Apple Music would sometimes not play when music starts before voicing.

  • STOP Button Progress Fixes - Fixed an issue where the time-in/time-left shown on the STOP button would sometimes glitch during playback.

  • System Settings - This new screen has been added to the Actions menu, and presents several system-wide settings including Apple Music Assurance, Enhanced Volume Restore, and 2 new options for Bluetooth Assurance and Soften Music During Voice Levels (detailed below). The settings found in this screen apply to ALL teams, while the settings found in the Team Settings apply only to the team you are viewing when selecting the Actions menu. Learn More at https://www.ballparkdj.com/music-issues

  • Bluetooth Assurance - A new option titled Bluetooth Assurance has been added to the new System Settings screen available in the Actions menu. This option defaults to ON, and is intended to fix a frustrating issue certain users have experienced where their intros sometimes simply do not play (or play silently). This issue is specific to certain Bluetooth speakers (namely the Sonos Move), and only when Apple Music is involved. We are confident this will put this issue, along with a few other Bluetooth related issues, to rest.

  • Soften Music During Voice Levels - A new option titled Soften Apple Music During Voice Levels has been added to the new System Settings window and provides choices of Soft, Softer, and Softest. This controls just how much the music will be softened during voice. This option will default to Softest. This option was added to attempt to address some issues with the Soften Music option creating distortion/static in the professional voicing. And this distortion/static issue has only been observed and reported when playing over certain Bluetooth speakers from an iPhone 11 or iPhone XR device. If you are experiencing the distortion, we recommend you try Soft and Softer options, and if those don't work, we recommend you turn off the Soften Music option for you players. Upgrading to a newer model iPhone will also resolve the issue.

  • Team Settings - A Team Settings screen has been added to the Actions menu which controls team-specific settings. These settings include Team Name and Subtitle, Team Logo and Photo (used by Actions > Share Team Video) and Continuous Play (also available at the bottom right of the team). All settings presented in this window are specific to the team being viewed when accessing the Actions menu, and are not shared by all teams. The settings in the System Settings are shared by all teams.

  • Team Video Creation/Sharing - With a single click users can now create and share an impressive video of their professional intros, complete with music, player photos, team picture, and team logo. Simply open your team and choose Actions > Advanced > Share Team Video. https://www.ballparkdj.com/share-video

  • Import Playlist/Album (iOS - Apple Music) - Users may now quickly import playlists or albums from Apple Music. The resulting team name will match the name of the playlist or album, and a player will be created for each song, with the player name matching the name of the song. https://www.ballparkdj.com/import-playlist

  • Android Catching Up - On the Android platform, we have implemented a number of key features that previously were only available on iOS: Import Players, Export Voice Intros, Soften Music During Voice, and 2-Tap+.

  • Soften Music During Voice - All Music - The "Soften Music During Voice" option has long been available for songs that were NOT downloaded through Apple Music subscription service. But now, we have implemented the Soften Music option for all music, including Apple Music. Just before voice begins, music volume fades down, and just after voice ends, the volume of the music is restored. This allows user to play music at a higher level without it drowning out the voice intros.

  • Toggle Voice On/Off - A new "Audio On" toggle has been added to the Edit Voice screen which allows users to turn voicing off temporarily, while retaining the underlying voice recordings for later reactivation.

  • Fixed Issue with External Source Songs - An issues was fixed which was causing songs chosen from External Sources to become detached in certain situations.

  • Edit Music Time Format: MM:SS.s - The starting time and duration in the Edit Music screen are now displayed in MM:SS.ms. A starting time of 2:05.7 would reflect that the music begins 2 minutes, 5.7 seconds into the song.

  • Miscellaneous - Added "Add Player" selection to the Actions menu when there are no players on the team. Allow the creation of a player (and ordering of a player) with only number, and no first or last name. Fixed an issue with Continuous Play when Enhanced Volume Restore is turned on.

  • User Audio Playback Fix - Fixed an issue in the Edit/Record Voice screen where the Play button would not properly play back the voice recording.

November 4, 2022

  • Playback Progress Bar Text - Improvements/adjustements were made to the text displayed in the STOP button. The time into playback is displayed in the top left of the STOP button. The time remaining is displayed in the bottom right of the STOP button. And the total duration of playback is displayed in upper right of the STOP button. Several changes were made in order to provide a smoother/cleaner display of the time in and time left. The font was changed, and the time is only updated every 0.5 seconds instead of every 0.1 seconds.

  • Enhanced Volume Restore - Certain speakers, specifically the JBL PartyBox line of speakers, exhibit an issue with volume restoration when using Apple Music. This would result in playback often playing at a very low volume level (volume not being properly restored between players). We have added an "Enhanced Volume Restore" option in the Actions > Advanced menu, which defaults to OFF. To toggle this option on, simply choose Actions > Advanced > Enhanced Volume Restore:OFF, and that will toggle it to ON. Please try this mode if you are having any issues with volume levels.

  • Relative Volume Fixes - Fixed an issue where the relative volume level was not being properly retained in certain situations.

  • Record Voice Screen Improvements - Continued ease-of-use improvements to the text and presentation of the Record Voice screen.

  • Volume Retention Improvements - When Apple Music was involved with an intro, any volume adjustment that was made during playback (while STOP button is active) was not being retained after the stop and fade out. This was corrected. Also, volume adjustments while BallparkDJ is not in focus are now retained and inherited by BallparkDJ when switching the focus back to the app..

  • Miscellaneous fixes to: Progress Reporting on STOP Button. Improved guidance when requesting Team Intro or Team Name redos.

  • Auto Import of Voiced Teams - Professionally voiced teams will now be automatically imported when the user opens or returns focus to the BallparkDJ app. A message will be presented informing the user that the newly voiced team/players have been imported.

  • More Relative Volume Options - Two new relative volume options were added to the Relative Volume slider in the Edit Player screen. Relative Volume controls the volume level of the voicing relative to music. Two new options were added to the Loudest Voice side to allow the user to play the voice even louder relative to the volume level of the music. This brings the total number of relative volume options up from 9 to 11.

  • Playback Progress Bar - When playing a player, the STOP button now doubles as a progress bar, clearly showing the length of the playback, the time into the playback, as well as the time remaining in the playback.

  • Recording Screen Improvements - The Record Voice screen was improved dramatically. The number/name was moved into the center of the window along with the Record/Play/Stop buttons, placing the two close together in proximity. The buttons were also enlarged.

  • Login Screen Changes - The initial capture of the email address upon first install of BallparkDJ was improved to require email confirmation as well as to check for invalid email addresses.

  • Delete Account Option - An option was added to the Actions > Advanced menu for "Delete Account". This option will notify BallparkDJ that you would like your teams and personal information deleted from the BallparkDJ servers.

  • SuperVoice Samples Teams - Three new sample teams were added to demonstrate SuperVoice functionality including Master (blue), Pre-Game (red) and SuperVoice (gold) teams voiced by all seven of our professional announcers.

  • Team Name Order and Redo - Users who have ordered SuperVoice in the past may now request the Team Name component. This Team Name component is optional and inserted between the event and the number name, for instance Now Batting "for the Cambridge Bears" Number 10, Jordan Payne. The Team Name checkbox will show up below the list of events if it is available. If you do not yet have the Team Name component (and therefore do not see the Team Name checkbox), you can request it by choosing Request Team Name from the Actions menu on the gold team. If you already have the Team Name component and need it to be redone, simply choose Request Team Name Redo from the Actions menu on the gold team.

  • Continuous Play Relative Volume - When Continuous Play is turned on for a team (typically a Pre-Game Intro team), the relative volume (music vs voice) that is specified for the first player on the team (typically Team Intro), will be maintained through the entire team while the song attached to the first player is played through the introduction of all players.

  • Volume Level Fixes - Fixed various issues related to the fading and restoring of volume level, primarily when Apple Music is involved.

  • 2-Tap+ Play Mode - A new 2-Tap+ play mode has been added to the 1-Tap and 2-tap options. 2-Tap+ will appear identical to 2-Tap mode, but uses a more aggressive approach to awaken/prime certain Bluetooth speakers from their sleep mode. If you are having an issue with the beginning of your intros getting clipped off, please try 2-Tap+ mode. You may discover that you need to wait a couple seconds between taps. These 2-Tap Play modes have several advantage: Confirmation Step - 2-Tap helps ensure you tapped the correct player before playing it over the speaker, Accidental Tap Prevention- Protecting against accidental tapping of a player during a game at awkward moments, and Prevents Delay / Clipping - A number of users have reported delay/clipping issues when playing over certain Bluetooth speakers. These reports include a delay between tapping the player and the audio beginning, as well as clipping off (skipping) of the first part of the intro. These 2-Tap methods allows us to queue up the players audio in a way that eliminates this delay/clipping, with 2-Tap+ using a more aggressive approach.

  • Request Voicing on Redos - When a user requests a redo for a professionally voiced player to correct a pronunciation, BallparkDJ will now take the user through voicing of each player requested to allow the user to provide the proper pronunciation to the announcer.

  • Pre-Game Team Adjustments - Some adjustments were made with respect to the behavior of red Pre-Game teams. Users will now be able to order voice recordings from the red team in order to insert a Coaches player just after the Team Intro that introduces the coaches during the pre-game intros. Also, some work was done in order to properly retain SuperVoice setup of the players on the red team when requesting voice redos or add-on players. This work enables a variety of Pre-Game Add-On as explained in this Instructional Video.

  • Pre-Game Introduction Order Type - Ordering Pre-Game Introductions for any youth sport just became that much easier. In addition order types of SuperVoice and Standard (Now Batting), BallparkDJ now offers a Pre-Game Introduction order option. Simply setup your team and add your players, and the order Professional Voicing, and choose the Pre-Game Intros order type on the order page. When you get your order back you'll have everything you need...complete with the Team Intro "Ladies and Gentlemen, get on your feet an make some noise for your Cambridge Bears". And you can even customize your Team Intro in the special instructions when ordering. To request a redo of the Team Intro, do so from the red team (Pre-Game team). To request a redo of any player, do so from the blue (master) team.

  • Team Name Option in SuperVoice Playback - We’ve taken SuperVoice up another notch, adding an option to include Team Name into the SuperVoice playback. When playing a SuperVoice player from the gold team, a new checkbox titled "Team Name" is now available below the list of events, and when checked, will insert the team name between the event and the number/name. For instance, if the DJ chooses Now Batting and checks the Team Name checkbox... "Now Batting...for the Cambridge Bears...Number 10, Ryan Jordan". This setting will be retained from one batter to the next. If you have an existing SuperVoice team and would like this add the Team Name option, simply open the blue team and order professional voicing on a single player, choosing the SuperVoice order type when completing the order. Once you get that back, the Team Name option will be available for your gold team.

  • Batting Order Label Added - The ordinal number of each playing within the team and within the batting order is now printed to the right of each player and to the left of the voice/music icons in light gray. This allows the DJ to quickly identify the numerical position of each player within the team batting order.

  • First Name Only Orders - A new checkbox for "First Name Only" was added to the order page so that users who want only the first name announced, but may have entered the last name for other reasons, can convey this information clearly to the announcer and help eliminate unnecessary redo requests.

  • First and Last Name Separation - Providing the first and last name in their respective fields has become important in BallparkDJ, especially if you will be ordering professional voicing. BallparkDJ will encourage users to do so when it detects multiple names in the First Name field while the Last Name field is empty, and will attempt to fix such a situation automatically.

  • 2-Tap Play Mode - A 2-Tap Play Mode was introduced in BallparkDJ 12.5 to provide a confirmation step, help eliminate unintended taps, and prevent delay / clipping issues with Bluetooth. This settings will default to 2-Tap mode and will be retained on a team-by-team basis. A 2-Tap+ mode with a more aggressive and reliable solution to the Bluetooth delay / clipping issues will be coming in the next release.

  • Fixed Voice Playback Glitching Issue - An issue was fixed where the voiced intro would glitch during playback in certain circumstances. This issue was happening when these combinations of events and settings lined up: player was setup with either a paid iTunes song or a BallparkDJ Clip, player was setup so music started before voice, and user switched to another app then switch back over to BallparkDJ. Often under this combination of settings and events, the playback of the voice recording glitched....starting and stopping at odd times. In addition, sometimes when switching back to BallparkDJ, the volume would have a very brief surge. Both of these issues have been corrected in 13.1.

  • 2-Tap Play Mode - Two modes are now available when playing Intros: 2-Tap and 1-Tap Play. 2-Tap Play is a new mode that requires a second tap on a large green PLAY button to play any player. 2-Tap has several important benefits. A Confirmation Step - 2-Tap helps ensure you tapped the correct player before playing it over the speaker by showing clearly which player is about to play and providing a PLAY and Cancel button. Accidental Tap Prevention - protecting against accidental tapping of a player during a game at awkward moments. And most importantly to some, it Prevents Delay / Clipping over Bluetooth. Users have reported delay/clipping issues when playing over certain Bluetooth speakers. These reports include a delay between tapping the player and the audio beginning, as well as clipping off or skipping of the first part of the intro. This 2-Tap method allows us to queue up the players audio and prepare the Bluetooth speaker in a way that eliminates this delay/clipping. The 2-Tap/1-Tap toggle button can be found at the bottom left of each team and replaces the Play/Stop button. More Info on 2-Tap

  • SuperVoice Team Intro Automation - Setting up Pre-Game Intros Full-Team Intros just got easier. Ordering SuperVoice used to require a follow-up order in order to voice the Team Intro ("Ladies and Gentlemen, get on your feet and make some noise for your Cambridge Bears"). Now the Team Intro will be voiced and completed with the initial order. Users should now have everything they need with one easy step and a single SuperVoice order: Professional Intros, Complete Pre-Game Full-Team Continuous-Play Intros WITH Team Intro, and the SuperVoice team which announcers every event for every player for any sport.

  • Introducing Joe Martinez - BallparkDJ is excited to welcome Joe Martinez to our talented roster of announcers. Joe is best known as a ring announcer for UFC and Golden Boy Boxing events. Joe has an exciting energetic style of his own and we think your team will love the way he introduces your players. Learn More…

  • Music Finish Sound Effect - A new option was added in the Edit Music screen titled “Music Finish Sound Effect”. This was added primarily as a “Fade Out” alternative but can provide a dramatic finish to any introduction. Fade Out can be problematic for some combinations of Apple Music and Bluetooth speakers because we have to adjust the volume of the device to fade out and this results in beeping on some Bluetooth speakers. The new Music Finish Sound Effect provides a great alternative and a dramatic ending and masks the sudden stopping of the song (without fade out). Additionally, the sound effect may be repeated as many times as the user wishes, resulting in an echo/reverb effect. The Fade Out option has also been moved from the Edit Player window to the Edit Music window. When Music Finish is turned on, it’s recommended that the Fade Out is turned off. Try the “Whoosh” effect repeating 3 times. Learn More…

  • Volume Adjustment Improvements - Improvements were made in the area of volume management and volume adjustment. Certain combinations of clicks were resulting in the volume unexpectedly being lowered. This has been corrected.

  • Apple Music and iOS 14 - Improvements were made in order to fully support Apple Music and team sharing and Song Assistant with Apple Music.

  • 9 Levels of Relative Volume - The Relative Volume slider that controls the volume of the music relative to voice now offers 9 different levels. The same 5 Levels of Loudest Music, Louder Music, Even, Louder Voice and Loudest Voice still exist, but now allow for 4 new levels between these 5 for increased relative volume control. The Relative Volume slider can be found in the Edit Player window and is only visible when both music and voice are involved.

    - Share Team via Text Message / Other - When sharing a team from the Actions menu, users now have 3 options: Text Message, Email, and Other. In previous versions, sharing was only available via Email. Now users can share through Text Message or may choose the Other option which opens up many other methods including Skype, Facebook, Twitter, Messenger and much more.

  • SuperVoice Team Colors - SuperVoice teams are now color coded to help clearly identify which team is the Master, the Pre-Game Intros, and the SuperVoice team. You will only see the colored teams if you have ordered SuperVoice. The Master team is the one you originally ordered SuperVoice from and the one you should use to add or redo players. The Master team is colored blue, the pre-game intro team is colored red, and the SuperVoice team is colored gold. If you see a team colored green, that is a team that BallparkDJ created and shared such as Sound Effects of Seasons Greeting teams.

    - Longer Song Duration - In previous versions, the song duration was limited to a maximum of 60 seconds. Above that, the only option was to “Play Full Song”. Now users can increase the song duration past 60 seconds. In the Edit Music window, simply drag the Length slider all the way to the right so it says 60 seconds. Then hit the + button and the Length will increase by 10 seconds on each click until it reaches the maximum duration of the song.

  • Export Voice Intros - Export the voice introductions (including SuperVoice player components) from BallparkDJ and use them on your computer or in other applications. Choose Actions > Advanced > Export Voice Intros and BallparkDJ will create a zip file which contains one .m4a audio file for each player.

  • Import Voice - Users may now import external audio files (.mp3, .aac, .m4a, .wav, etc) into the voice component of any player. In the Record Voice screen, an "Import" button is now available just above the Record button.

  • Soften Music During Voice - A new option in the Edit Player screen to "Soften Music During Voice" will automatically lower the volume of the music (by 50%) while the voice announcement is playing, and then restore it to original level after the voice announcement is complete. (This feature is not available for Apple Music)

  • Restore Teams - A new option is available to allow users to restore any teams that they've previously ordered or shared with others. This is especially valuable when moving to a new phone. The restore option presents all the users teams that are stored on the BallparkDJ server and allows them to import any or all of them. The restore feature can be accessed at any time from Actions > Advanced > Restore Teams. To ensure a team resides on the BallparkDJ and will be available for restoration in the future, simply share a team with yourself with Actions > Share Team.

  • About Menu Item - A new About menu option has been added to the Actions > Advanced menu which provides the current version of BallparkDJ the user is running.

  • SuperVoice Wizard - SuperVoice Wizard takes the SuperVoice setup of the 1st player on a team and applies it to all the other players on the team. You do the SuperVoice setup work on one player, and the Wizard takes it from there and applies it to the rest of the players on the team. This is extremely convenient, allowing you to add and setup any SuperVoice components for a single player and transfer that setup work to all the other players while retaining the music of the individual players if applicable. Those components can include: Dynamic Events, Special Effects, Team Name, Player Position, Player Number/Name, and much more! To apply SuperVoice Wizard and to learn more, open your team and choose Actions > SuperVoice > SuperVoice Wizard. It is highly recommend to duplicate your team before applying the Wizard so you'll have the original to come back to if needed.

  • SuperVoice Initialization - When SuperVoice is turned on for a player that already has voicing, that existing voicing is used to initialize the SuperVoice as a player component. This makes it easy for users to duplicate an existing voice team, turn on SuperVoice for the first player, add some other components, and then apply SuperVoice Wizard to apply those components to the rest of the team.

  • Single Component SuperVoice - SuperVoice now allows a setup with only one component (either Team or Player component).

  • Add Same Component Multiple Times to SuperVoice - The same player or team component can be added multiple times to the same SuperVoice setup. Adding the same player component multiple times, but offset by maybe a half a second, can result in a nice reverb/echo effect. Adding the same team component multiple times enables building SuperVoice intros with multiple dynamic components from same team such as Action (Now Pitching) and Position (First Baseman).

  • “This Only” Option for SuperVoice Team Component - when playing a player that involves a team component, then the players on that team are presented at runtime, a new "This Only" checkbox at the bottom will result in playing only that component and ignoring any other components of the SuperVoice.

  • SuperVoice has Arrived! Professional introductions now powered by SuperVoice! Combine your player introductions with over 40 of the most popular events in your respective sport to empower you to professionally announce every possible scenario at your sporting event. SuperVoice virtually announces every situation and event. Now, your 1 team operates as over 40 teams!

  • SuperVoice Enhancements - You can now add Events team component multiple times in same SuperVoice. New "This Only" option to play only the Event (Team Component) without playing name and other components.

  • Apple Music Improvements involving the selection of songs from playlists.

  • New Announcer: Ryan Cameron! BallparkDJ is excited to welcome another talented professional to the booth in Ryan Cameron. Ryan is in his 17th season as PA announcer for the Atlanta Hawks and his 2nd season as PA for the Atlanta Falcons. Ryan and SuperVoice will provide just the professional touch and versatility needed for your football or basketball introduction.

  • SuperVoice Team Components: When SuperVoice is turned on it allows up to 4 components and each component can be either a player or a team. Team components allow user to dynamically select which player on that team is used when playing the intro. User may customize the overlap between each set of components

  • SuperVoice Orders: SuperVoice may now be ordered during the standard order process for any of our announcers. SuperVoice is available for Baseball, Basketball, and Football. SuperVoice will result in the automatic creation of three teams: Master Team, Pre-Game Intros, and SuperVoice Team

  • Team Subtitles: Teams now have the option to be given a subtitle in addition to the team name. This opens up a number of possibilities including giving multiple teams the same name (like "Cambridge Bears") but differentiating with the subtitle (Pre-Game Intros, SuperVoice Casey, Master, etc)

  • Sort Team Options: The Actions menu now has a "Sort Team" option which gives the user the ability to sort their team alphabetically or numerically. This can help quickly sort your team into a form that will facilitate quickly finding players during game day operation

  • Time Feedback in Music Edit Screen: In the Music Edit screen, the time into the song is reflected during playback which facilitates the selection of the proper start time

  • Show Countdown Option in Record Voice Screen: A new option to "Show Countdown" was added to the Record Voice Screen which allows the user to suppress the 3-2-1 countdown and reduce the time required to record voicing. Also the time feedback display during recording and playback was greatly improved

  • External Music Source Option: Users may now import music from External sources such as iCloud or Google Drive. To do so, simply click the External Source button in the Edit Music screen and navigate to the proper location and song

  • Song Assistant Auto-Match: When sharing a team which involves music, Song Assistant will popup to facilitate the matching of music involved with the team. Now Song Assistant provides an Auto-Match option for users with Apple Music. Auto-Match will find and attach the proper songs from Apple Music for all players and make the music matching process very quick and easy

  • Music and Voice Feedback: The Edit Player window now provides clear feedback for the start and stop time of both voice and music, for instance "Voice 0.0-2.0, Music 1.5-7.0" (voice from 0.0 to 2.0 secs with music from 1.5 to 7.0 secs). This will aid in more precise music and voice overlap setup

  • Continuous Play with Multiple Songs: In prior releases, in order to play music through the Cont Play full team intro, it was required to setup music on ONLY the first player and to set the music to Play Full Song. That is no longer a requirement and music can be attached to any player on the team and Play Full Song can be on or off

  • Relative Volume available for Music Only Players
