Studio Mode elevates your SoundBoard with a cleaner, more customizable layout that maximizes screen space and gives you full creative control. Key features include Player Color, FreeForm Drag & Drop, Variable Players per Row, and of on Play. Studio Mode is especially helpful for teams that run music‑only boards, sound effects, or situational playlists.

  • Player Color - Each player/button can be assigned its own color. Long‑press a button and select “Edit Player Color.” Coloring options include Color This Player, Row, Column, Group, Checkerboard, All, and Tap to Color. The Color Group option colors all contiguous buttons sharing the same color. An “Uncolor All” option is available to remove all Player Colors at once.

  • FreeForm Drag & Drop - FreeForm mode transforms the SoundBoard into a flexible grid where buttons can be placed anywhere on the screen. The long‑press menu now includes Insert Row Above and Insert Row Below. To move a button, long‑press, then drag and drop it to your desired location.

  • Grid Columns - SoundBoard Studio settings include an option for Grid Columns, which controls how many players appear across each row. iPhone supports up to 6 columns, while iPad supports up to 8. Select your preferred column count before customizing your layout further.

  • Gray on Play - Gray on Play clearly marks any players/buttons that have already been played. This is especially useful for SoundBoards of songs, helping you avoid playing the same track more than once during a game or event. Once a button has been played, it automatically turns gray. You can reset this in the long‑press menu using “Reset Gray” (This Button / All Buttons). Gray on Play also has an option to apply this “…only on songs > 1m”, resulting in graying only audio files which are longer than 1 minute. This results in graying only full songs so the user knows if they have already played that song during this game, while leaving along the shorter audio files that are typically sound effects and played multiple times per game.

  • Short by Team/Genre - When in SoundBoard Studio mode, new options now exist to Sort by Genre or Decade by choosing Actions > Advanced > Sort Team. These sorting options label and color each grouping of decade and genre.

  • Play Full from Start (All) - A new option titled Play Full from Start (All) is now available in the Music Wizard of the Edit Music screen. This sets all players or songs to start at the beginning and play the full song. This is especially useful when working with a team of music-only such as the Top 100 Walk-Up songs, which initially imports the songs set to start at the optimal/preferred starting point and to play for only 30 seconds.
