Marysol Castro
Voice of Citi Field

Marysol Castro is a super driven media creator and producer that loves making compelling content and experiences that make audiences feel seen, heard, and inspired.  She spent the last two decades challenging the status quo in television news as a journalist, writer, and content creator. She currently hosts a daily TV lifestyle show on PIX11 in New York City.  When she’s not interviewing changemakers and cultural trailblazers Castro can be found at Citi Field as the first female Public Address Announcer for the New York Mets.

And in January 2019, Marysol was introduced as the first female voice of BallparkDJ.

In the NY Times article If Only Her Voice Could Change the Way the Mets Play from August 2018, Marysol discusses Spanish pronunciations, her “visitors’ voice”, and a number of other interesting aspects of her role as PA of the NY Mets.

In this Forbes article How To Get Ahead In A Male-Dominated Field from November 2018, Marysol discusses how she broke barriers to become the first ever Latina public address announcer in major league baseball.

In the video below, Lynda Baquero interviews Marysol on NBC New York 4: Visiones: Mets’ Marysol Castro.
