Android Music - Simple Song Collector
UpAllNiteSoftware has developed a very convenient Android App that searches for and downloads songs to your Android device which can then be used in BallparkDJ. The app is called Simple Song Collector and directions to install can be found here (more details below). The app places the downloaded songs in the Downloads > SimpleSongFinder folder. If your search for songs comes up empty, click the vertical ellipsis ⋮ at upper right and select Videos and repeat the search. When Sharing a Team which has been setup with music from Simple Song Collector, the recipient will simply use the Song Assistant feature (Actions > Advanced > Song Assistant) to identify the songs that need to be download. Recipient should install Simple Song Collector and download the needed songs, then use Song Assistant to Select those songs. The details such as start, duration, and overlap will all fall into place automatically.
Installing Simple Song Collector…
Visit this page to download the Simple Song Collector. Use the link in the most recent post at the bottom to download and install the most recent version. Make sure to open this page and click on that link on your Android device where BallparkDJ is installed.
A warning may popup. If so, click “Download Anyway” to continue the download. You may need to change your Android settings when prompted to allow sideload installation from your browser and override safety warnings, but there are no ads, tracking, or malware included so it is safe to do so.
Once the download is complete, click “Open”.
Then click “Install” and the Simple Song Collector should get installed on your device.
