Email and Account Management
Why do I need to use my own email?
When first opening the BallparkDJ app for the first time, you will be asked for your email address. Your BallparkDJ Account will be attached to this email, and all teams you create will be attached to this account and email.
Use Only Your Own Email
It is important you use only your own email with BallparkDJ and not the email of another user. Always setup BallparkDJ with your own email and your own account. Your email is how we protect your teams, purchases, and account access. Do not share your account with other users. If someone tries to activate your account on another device, you will receive an email with a warning and an option to confirm and accept this action via a 5-digit code.
Filling In for TeamDJ
If the TeamDJ can’t make it to a game, and they would like you to fill in and run intros, they should share the team with you, and NOT their email/account. Install BallparkDJ if you haven’t already, and setup your account with your own email. The TeamDJ will share the team with you through either text or email (with Actions > Share Team). When you click on that team link, the team will open in BallparkDJ. If this is your first time operating BallparkDJ, you may be asked to activate the app. One year activation of BallparkDJ is only 6.99. Yearly Activation never auto-renews and will require user approval. To learn more about Sharing Teams and Music, click here.
Moving Account to New Device
You may find yourself in a position where you need to move your BallparkDJ account to another device for whatever reason, whether you replaced your phone, or you just want to move from phone to tablet. When you install BallparkDJ on the new device, enter the same email you used on the original device. You will be sent an email which you must confirm in order to allow that email account to proceed on the new device. Once activated, you should be presented with option to restore any teams attached to your account. You can always restore teams from Actions > Import/Export > Restore Teams.
Edit Email Address
If you need to edit your email address, you can do so by visiting Actions > Advanced > Account Info. When editing email, you will be given an option of starting a new account with this new email, or editing the email on the existing account to the new email. If you would like to move the subscription and the teams attached to the account, to the new email, you should choose to transition the account to the new email. An email confirmation will be sent to the previous email address in order to confirm this action. If you no longer have access to the old email account, please email support@ballparkdj.com and they will be able to assist.
Email Confirmation FAQ
Why Do I Need to Use My Own Email?
Use only your own email address for your BallparkDJ account.
Your email is how BallparkDJ protects access to your teams, purchases, and account recovery. If you use someone else’s email address, you may lose access to your teams or have trouble restoring your account later.
If another parent, coach, or TeamDJ needs to run intros for a game, do not share your email or account. Instead, share the team with them using Actions > Share Team inside BallparkDJ.
Can I use my spouse's, coach's, or team's email?
We strongly recommend using your own personal email address for your BallparkDJ account.
Your email is used to verify your identity, restore your account, recover your purchases, and keep your teams connected to you. If you use someone else's email address—even a spouse's or coach's—you may have difficulty accessing your account in the future.
If another parent, coach, or TeamDJ needs to use your teams, don't share your email or account. Instead, use Actions > Share Team to securely share your teams with them while keeping your own account separate.
What if someone else needs to run music at a game?
No problem! BallparkDJ makes it easy to share your teams with other coaches, parents, or TeamDJs.
Instead of sharing your email address or BallparkDJ account, simply use Actions > Share Team to send them a copy of your team. They'll be able to import it into their own BallparkDJ account and run your walk-up music and announcements.
This keeps everyone's account secure while ensuring each person has access to the teams they need.
What if I get a new phone or tablet?
No problem! Simply install BallparkDJ on your new device and sign in using the same email address you used to create your account.
Using your own email address allows BallparkDJ to securely restore your account, purchases, and teams, making it easy to pick up right where you left off.
If you no longer have access to your email address, or need to change it, please contact support@ballparkdj.com and we'll be happy to help.
Can I change my email later?
Yes. You can change the email address associated with your BallparkDJ account at any time from within the app.
For your security, we'll send a one-time verification code to your new email address before making the change. Once verified, your account, teams, and purchases will be associated with your new email address.
Be sure to use an email address that you own and have access to so you can continue to sign in and recover your account if needed.
What if I no longer have access to my old email?
If you've lost access to the email address associated with your BallparkDJ account, don't worry—we're here to help.
Contact support@ballparkdj.com and let us know your old email address, your new email address, and any additional information that can help us verify that you own the account. Once we've confirmed your identity, we'll help you update your email address and restore access to your account.
To help avoid this situation in the future, always use an email address that you own and can access.
