Voicing Team Names with Casey LEGACY

It can be rather challenging with the LEGACY technology to voice certain team names. Below we will explain what to do if you don’t like the way your team name sounds, or if you received back a shortened version of your team name. And if you have not yet ordered your Casey LEGACY intros but are considering doing so, reading through this page will help guide you in your selections and decisions.

Shortened (or Omitted) Version of Team Name
If your LEGACY voice order involved team name, you may have received a shortened version of the team name. For instance, if you requested “for the 2023 Braves Elite Blue” you may have received back “for the Braves”. In cases such as these, we gave our best effort to voice the complete team name, but simply couldn’t make it sound clean enough to send it back to you. So we went with a solution that did sound good. And please keep in mind, if you ordered Now Batting intros and included team name, you may quickly realize over the course of the season, that the briefer, shortened version is much preferred. If you still want the longer team name, you may either request a redo, or request a new announcer. Refer to those sections below.

Team Name Does Not Sound Right
As mentioned above, some team names can be difficult to voice cleanly with the LEGACY technology, especially the longer ones. If you do not like the way your team name sounds, you may consider requesting a redo with a shortened version of the team name. For instance, if you requested “for the Oostanala Braves” and the Oostanala part doesn’t sound good, you can send back a redo request and in the special instructions request “for the Braves”. It is very likely we can make that shortened version sound very good. If you ordered Now Batting intros with the team name, you might even consider requesting a redo and removing the team name, and simply choosing the format of “Now Batting” without team name during the redo process. But otherwise, you do have an option to request another announcer as explained below.

Request Voice Redo - Now Batting Intros
After reading the above, if you would like to request a redo of your Now Batting (with team name) intros, simply open your team, and choose Actions > Request Voice Redo, and select all the players that need to be redone. You may consider requesting a redo of just one player…..and once you get that back, if you’re happy with the result (regarding team name), you can then proceed with the rest of the players. Make sure to detail in the Special Instructions exactly what you want fixed, and how you would like the team name voiced.

Request Voice Redo - SuperVoice or Pre-Game Red Team (Team Intro)
After reading the above, if you would like to request a redo on your Team Intro on your red team, simply open the red team, and choose Actions > Request Voice Order Redo…and then choose Team Intro from the list. Make sure to detail in the Special Instructions exactly what you want fixed, and how you would like the team name voiced.

Request Voice Redo - SuperVoice Gold Team (Include Team Name)
After reading the above, if you would like to request a redo on your team name when choosing “Include Team Name” while playing your intros on your gold team, simply open the gold team, and choose Actions > Request Team Name Redo. Make sure to detail in the Special Instructions exactly what you want fixed, and how you would like the team name voiced.

Request Another Announcer
If you are not happy with the LEGACY voicing of your team name, and instead of requesting a shortened version would rather just request another announcer, we can make that happen at no additional charge. You will need to make a duplicate of your team, and order from that duplicate team.  If your original order was a SuperVoice or Pre-Game order type, you'll need to duplicate the blue team.  To duplicate the team, open the team and choose Actions > Duplicate Team.  It will append a number to the end of the team.  The name of this team will need to be different in some way from the original, so you can leave that number or append the name of the announcer or something like that.  So if your team name is "Braves", you can leave the duplicate as "Braves-1" or change it to "Braves (Casey)" or something like that.

Now repeat your order from this duplicate team, this time choosing the same order type, but the different announcer.  Let us know at support@ballparkdj.com once you've completed this order and we will refund half of both orders.
